Die 13 ½ Leben des
Käpt’n Blaubär – Cologne – November 11th 2006
To be honest I had no intentions to watch this show at all. Never
thought it would be something I’d like. But with a fantastic ticket offer for a
day most people in Cologne would probably rather spent partying and drinking
loads of alcohol I couldn’t resist. After all I love to see new shows.
And what can I say? This show is absolutely wonderful. They’ve done a great job
transferring the book on to the stage. The set is totally amazing - never
thought it would be quite so detailed but they’ve got everything: The giant
spider web, the big labyrinth, the class room of the „Nachtschule“, Atlantis,
the ocean… everything!
The costumes are so well made. And they’ve got puppets that are handled by the
performers. It’s a great mixture and really suits this show.
The Cast
Blaubär: Björn Klein
I was really impressed with his performance. It definitely looked like he was
having a great time on stage. Fantastic voice and a great actor!
Prof. Nachtigaller: Stefan Stara
Loved the way he played the part. Totally funny and the interaction with the
audience fit in so well. I can imagine it’s not easy to play a part like this
without being in fits of laughter all the time. ;)
Groot and Stollentroll: Nik Breidenbach
Finally I have managed to see him on stage. I had heard so many great things
about him so I was really looking forward to seeing him in this show. And guess
what? He was fantastic. So funny and what a voice! Whenever he was on stage as
Groot I couldn’t take my eyes off him because it was so much fun to see his
facial expressions.
J
Chemluth Havanna: Oliver Parchment
Great job – there’s nothing I didn’t like about his performance. I have to admit
he didn’t really shine next to Nik Breidenbach… but then that’s not easy anyway.
;)
Loved his acting though - very convincing and funny.
Wahnsinn and Yeti: Arthur Büscher
He did really well… didn’t like his roles that much but, of course, that’s
not his fault. ;)
Fredda and Tratschwelle: Barbara Tartaglia
I remember seeing her in Grease years ago and I was so happy to see her on stage
again after such a long time. Totally impressed by her voice – WOW! And it’s
amazing to see her play so many different parts and being so fantastic in all of
them… just changing the costumes so quickly must be so difficult. Guess you can
see I totally loved her in this show. The star of the evening in my eyes!
Smeik and Tratschwelle: Pamela Zottele
I
really liked her as Smeik… what a mean little fellow. ;)
Good performance although I have to admit she wasn't one of the performers that
really stood out in my eyes.
16 U: Peggy Pollow
How cute can a puppet be? Well, 16 U (the „bad idea“) was absolutely adorable.
Peggy sang one of the best songs of the evening and she did this absolutely
fantastic. Great voice. And did I mention „so cute“? Ah, think I did but anyway:
16 U was so cute!!
Blaubärin: Jasmin Madwar
She looked fantastic and her performance was really great. Smiling all the way
through the show. Blue suits her. ;)
Akrobat: Benjamin Pfeiffer
Wow – loved his tricks. The juggling was great and his flik-flaks were amazing!
Ensemble: Jessie Roggemann, Daniela Grubert, Janine Tippl, Pascal
Illi, Oliver Pauli, Tobias Roloff, Oliver Sekula, Jenny Winkler
Fantastic show – all of them did so well and really fit into the show perfectly.
